Award Wins for directorial debut While Fay’s Away
Evalena’s first film, the short drama While Fay’s Away won the Audience Choice Award at its first public screening at the March 2020 IndieWorks.
And the 2020 NYWIFT Online Shorts Festival has recognized Evalena with the Multi-Potentiality Award for her interdisciplinary work on her first film.
Evalena wrote, produced, directed, acted in, and edited the film. She also got to enjoy the fun task of building the prop pregnancy belly out of a bicycle helmet, gelatin, and ace bandages.
While Fay’s Away is a 14 minute short drama about a homeless, pregnant, and desperate young woman as she navigates a delicate chance at friendship.
The film stars talented actresses Jennifer Crumpton as Janine, and Isobel Roth as Fay.

Painless LA Premiere
Painless, written and directed by Jordan Horowitz, premiere's in LA on Friday September 22nd, and continues with screenings throughout the rest of the week.
Cast and crew will be in attendance for the premiere night and weekend screenings.
Married To A Murderer Premieres on Lifetime
Married to a Murderer, starring Anna Hutchison and directed by Nick Everhart, will premiere on Lifetime on August 18th at 8/7c.
